After Kdenlive 0.7 and Kdenlive 0.7.1 here we are on with pre-compiled Kdenlive 0.7.2 package.

Instructions:
- Install (only for Ubuntu 8.04) KDE 4.1 libraries in your Ubuntu: http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.1.2
- Unpack zip file to your favourite directory
- Open in an text editor the file: <dir>/bin/kdenlive_start
- Modify the line:
export INSTALL_DIR=/home/marco/kdenlive
according to the location where you unpacked the package - Run the file: <dir>/bin/kdenlive_start
- Enjoy!

I need help installing kdenlive
I have no Idea about th emacro bit for kdenlive could you please elaborate on this for me.
This is th error I’m getting:

what about reading *all* instructions? You clearly missed the point to edit the file and modify the launcher path.
you are right I didn’t read the instructions properly. to many late nights.
Any way of getting this as a shortcut on the menu system.
